Personally, after I took his class AAS 105, I did not want to take anymore classes with him. When he offered Black Masculinity I was hesitant. His entire demeanor was some what different. He was not as rude, didn't cut you off, and allowed you to voice your opinion. The class was much more organized. He has improved tremendously.
This class was appears to be well organized and interesting. However, this professor is all over the place in his lectures and is very confusing to follow. I would not recommend this class!
DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASS WITH THIS PROFESSOR!He is a mess! The class was awful! He is unorganized,very rude when you need clarification,and doesn't follow his syllabus at all!I took the online course and will not take another online calss for A LONG TIME because of him. I did ALL my work on time, got excellent grades and still a B-. RUN WHILE YOU CAN!
I'm sitting here sobbing because of this man. He was confusing, hated to be bothered, and he didn't go by the grading point scale that he created. I kept up with the readings, but not with his logic.
Professor Ransaw is a good instructor. The why paper is not any more difficult than any other paper I have ever had to write. He will tell you when you are wrong but we're in college and you should be able to deal with that. I think the class is very clear and Ransaw is very helpful. Also, this class is NOT difficult. Good class!!
